Over the next few days, we will start sharing real screenshots of new features that will ship in the next Patrii Cloud release.
No mockups.
No marketing renders.
Only features that already exist and are actively being tested.
We are starting with DNS as a Service (DNSaaS).
All screenshots in this article are taken directly from our current internal build.
DNS treated as part of your infrastructure
DNS is often treated as an external dependency.
It is usually:
- managed at a registrar
- configured in a third party dashboard
- loosely connected to the rest of the cloud stack
With Patrii Cloud, we took a different approach.
DNS is a native managed service, integrated directly into the Patrii Cloud platform alongside compute, storage, networking, and load balancers.
It is part of your infrastructure, not something bolted on afterward.
Zone management directly in the Patrii console
From the DNS Zones view, you can:
- create DNS zones in seconds
- view zone status and health
- track TTL values and serial numbers
- manage everything at the project level

Zones are first class resources, not an afterthought.
This design allows us to build future integrations cleanly and predictably.
Built in domain verification and delegation checks
When creating a new DNS zone, Patrii guides you through domain ownership verification.
You can verify ownership using:
- TXT records, recommended
- or CNAME records if TXT is not possible

Once verification is complete, the platform automatically checks:
- nameserver delegation
- propagation status
- overall DNS health

No guessing.
No external tools required.

Clear and explicit nameserver configuration
Patrii DNS provides:
- clearly defined authoritative nameservers
- copy friendly values
- real time validation of delegation status
If your domain is correctly delegated, you see it immediately.
If not, the platform tells you exactly what still needs to be done.

DNS records managed in one place
Inside each zone, you can manage:
- NS and SOA records, system managed
- A records for services and instances
- additional record types as needed
Everything is visible, explicit, and logically versioned through serial updates.
This lays the groundwork for deeper automation later on.
Why this matters
DNSaaS is not just another feature.
It is a foundational building block that enables:
- tighter integration with Load Balancers
- safer multi user access patterns
- infrastructure as code workflows
- future full lifecycle automation
Most importantly, it keeps your DNS under the same sovereign control as the rest of your Patrii Cloud infrastructure.
What is coming next
This article is the first in a short series highlighting what is coming in the next Patrii Cloud release.
Over the coming days, we will share additional articles covering, in no particular order:
- DNS as a Service, including advanced usage and automation
- Load Balancer as a Service
- S3 compatible object storage with multi user access and static hosting behind a load balancer
- VPS recovery features using rescue mode
- Block device snapshots beyond the main VPS disk
- Terraform module for Patrii Cloud
- Patrii CLI
- Full IPv6 support
- Complete integration with our in house ERP and CRM
Each article will focus on one feature at a time, using real screenshots taken from features that already exist or are currently in final testing.
We believe transparency matters.
We prefer showing how things actually work rather than promising what might exist one day.
More details will follow very soon.
